About Mick
I’m Mick Johnson — an executive and leadership coach based in the California Bay Area. I work mostly with PMs, founders, and tech executives navigating the professional and personal challenges that come with success. Finding the next role, inheriting messy org dynamics, balancing personal and professional goals, and all those moments where the playbook stops working.

I’ve spent two decades inside the industry — at Google, Meta, and DoorDash, plus founding a couple of startups. I helped found the Facebook Rotational PM program, led product on News Feed, Search, Translate, Maps for Automotive, and DashPass, and directly managed or mentored more than a hundred people across that arc.
What I love about coaching is witnessing people grow. People’s capacity for self-development and change is incredible, once they have a space for truly honest self-reflection and accountability. I help people connect both their head and heart to break through challenges and become their most authentic self.

Outside the office: I grew up in Australia, spent my early twenties in Japan, and have been in the Bay Area ever since. I’m a single dad of two — the most important responsibility and aspect of myself. I also love weight-lifting, hold a NASM personal training certification, and am deeply interested in the intersection between physical and mental change.
If any of this resonates — if you’re at a crossroads, or feel like the version of you that’s been doing the job for the last few years isn’t going to make it to the next thing — let’s talk.
